Stager Gui

The stager GUI consists of two components.

• Configuration Interrogation
• Running GUI

Configuration interrogation allows you to setup the parameters which govern Stager and the ReadoutShell it starts up. 

The Running GUI allows you to control:

• The stage threshold for the active staging strategy, while monitoring the how close Stager is to automatically performing a Stage.
• Perform an immediate manual stage opearation.
• Manage the Run retention list.
• Indicate to the stager that you intend to change tapes.
• Monitor the progress of an active stage operation.

While the Running GUI is active, Stager periodically performs Stage Evaluation passes.

The Run Retention List

The run Retention list allows you to indicate that the event data associated with run be saved after the next stage pass.  Once an event file is retained, it is up to the user to remove it from the stage area manually when it is no longer needed.  For more information on what happens when a stage is performed, and where retained data is stored, click Here.
